another Moen cartridge issue
Author: andyfs33 (FL) Replaced a Moen 1225 cartridge in single, crystal handle bathroom sink due to leaks under handle and steady flow from spout. At first, no flow at all and posted question and received advice to check aerator which was the problem. Now there is a steady stream without the faucet on and regular pressure with faucet open. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Edited 1 times.

Author: srloren (CA) Sounds like you have damaged the rubber seals on the exterior of the new replacement. I always clean with a 3/4" Copper cleaning brush the interior of the valve body and make sure the rubber is properly lubed with the provided lube. Before I reinstall the cartridge I out the valve by having someone open the water main for a second or two. srloren
