Is This Hard Plastic Washer replaceable?
Author: 120volts (CA)

I had a single handle kitchen faucet that was dripping water when in the off position (both hot and cold). I had removed the two cartridges and cleared things in case there was debris inside the cartridge body. On the bottom of the cartridge body cavity was a black washer, so I thought, that I could not remove to replace. So I ended up tightening the cartridge retainer nut and it considerably slowed down the dripping.

The customer opted to replace the faucet. So I got a similar one and all is well now...

I inspected the old faucet more and discovered the "black washer" at the bottom of the valve cavity was actually part of the housing and not a washer at all.

On the bottom of the valves, however, were blue, hard plastic washers. The bottom of the valve cavity had recesses to exactly fit them.

In the future, are these blue, hard plastic washers the cause of the drip drip? If yes, are they replaceable? I couldn't find any at the box store.

The are part of the faucet's cartridge. Contact the manufacturer for replacements
