If this is too much I apologize I will re-post

My contractor friend is doing me a solid and helping me with a gut renovation. His plumber(works for a licensed plumber) did the rough

I am a layman but do my research and see many things that concern me with the work and can't afford to close everything up then have issues, trying not to ruin my friendship so any and all feedback is appreciated

Regards
Bruce

1) san tee not to code. flange shouldn't be glued and must set ontop of finish floor.
2) not great but OK
3)outside wall. pipes will freeze.
4)pipes will freeze. vent to allowed to run horizontal until 42 inches off floor.
5) not sure ??
6) not sure ??
7)see # 1
8) OK
9)OK san tee ?
10)not too bad
11) OK
12) see # 1
13) see # 1

overall grade is C-

other than a few code violations the only thing i would change is water piping in outside wall.

Even with insulation, water lines in an outside wall will freeze eventually if you're in the northern region.

I've run water lines in an outside wall here on Long Island. Insulated the bejeezus out of the pipes and the wall and never had an issue, although left them dripping during last year's "arctic blast" when it went to 0*. If you use the bathroom every day it likely won't be an issue, if you go to Florida for 2 months over the winter, you better drain those pipes, especially if you are upstate.

Packy, assuming the boss wants the fixture on the outside wall, what's best practice? Bring them up through the floor? How do you rough in the vanity? Other option is to use pex since it's a lot more forgiving and won't burst like copper if it freezes (or so I'm told...)

Insulate the exterior wall FIRST.

Place vapor barrier to prevent infiltration of cold air inwards.

Install piping OVER said barrier/insulation (on the interior heated side).

Do NOT insulate between pipe and interior.

A 2x6 wall makes this easy.

well, you are close my friend.

insulate the outside wall.
place a continuous vapor/wind barrier over the entire wall.
place strapping over the wall and run the tubing in the 3/4 inch strapping space.
no insulation on the tubing so the heat in the room can get to it.
