Plumbing education, information, advice, help and suggestions are provided by some of the most experienced plumbers who wish to "give back" to society. Since 1996 we have been the best online (strictly) PLUMBING advice site. If you have questions about plumbing, toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, sewers, water filters, venting, water heating, showers, pumps, and other strictly PLUMBING related issues then you've come to the right place. Please refrain from asking or discussing legal questions, or pricing, or where to purchase products, or any business issues, or for contractor referrals, or any other questions or issues not specifically related to plumbing. Keep all posts positive and absolutely no advertising. Our site is completely free, without ads or pop-ups and we don't tract you. We absolutely do not sell your personal information. I am new to the business. I am a septic installer and am branching out into plumbing.
For now, to learn, I am experimenting on my own home's plumbing and taking on simple jobs that I have experience with.
Do you have any recommendations for trade knowledge oriented plumbing books?

If you are under the UPC then THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE ILLUSTRATED TRAINING MANUAL is excellent. However, it is quite expensive.

Thanks. I am under the IPC, but I will pick it up anyway. Ebay and CL and time usually get me things for a discount.
Actually, I looked on the IAPMO website and it is available for free.

Be careful what you're clicking on when it states you can get a "free" copy of UPC. IAPMO doesn't offer a free copy of UPC. There will be some sites that may show it however caution IF its not a secure site.
