Went to jobsite yesterday. I forgot to take pics. But simple cartridges. I tightened the retainers and it stopped 95% of the leaking so it's tolerable...

I think it needs a new rubber washer at the base of the cartridges but I couldn't remove them even with a screwdriver. Urgh. I was afraid to damage it and partially get it stuck. Not sure why it was so tough to take out.

There were o-rings on the cartridge but I don't think they were involved in the leak. Dunno.

Owner wants the faucet replaced so I'll go back next week...

Author: hj (AZ) A "plumbing guru" in a national magazine once berated "service plumbers" for NOT being able, or willing, to REPAIR things and just wanted to REPLACE them. I reminded him that the "modern" companies WANT the technicians to replace because that is how they make their yearly quotas and give the employees a commission for sales, but NOT repairs.
