Need help to identify brand of shower trim handles
Author: bburry007 (FL)

I am looking to replace my shower trim handles because the glass tip has broken completely out. . I would appreciate it if someone can identify the brand of my shower valve and trim. The valve operates like a Moen Moentrol style valve. You pull out the handle to turn the water on and rotate the handle for temperature. The screws are at 2 and 7 like a Moentrol. However, there are no Moen markings on any part of the valve, trim, or fixtures. There is a small logo on the trim plate and I have included a closeup picture of it. The matching vanity handles do not have any manufacturer's markings but the valve under the sink has a sticker that says Made in Germany if that helps. It was installed around 2001-2002. Attached are links to multiple pictures. Thank you in advance.

Valve body sure looks like a Moentrol.

Some after market manufactures will use somebody else valve body and put their trim on it.

Can you take a picture of the stem from the top ? ( with trim removed - like in 1st picture).

Does the adapter with the spline on it come off ?

If so post a picture also.

I had taken everything apart that came apart. I have attached more of a top view of the valve as you requested. I agree it acts very much like the Moen Moentrol type valve. I was even able to locate and purchase one of the discontinued Moen T3111p trim packages thinking it would work. It would not. The stem on the valve is much longer and thicker so the new T3111p handle did not fit over the stem at all.

i'm just guessing BUT if you remove the horseshoe clip and take out the cartridge, i'm betting a moen cartridge will fit right in and allow you to use the trim you bought.

I'm with Packy.

They have made an adapter that looks like it is being held in place by the horse shoe shaped clip which also holds cartridge in place.

Follow Packy's link on how to remove cartridge.

Be sure and turn off the water first.
