Hi,
I noticed water leak from bathroom faucet. The leak comes from the 3 holes where the faucet attaches to the sink. I removed the faucet from the holes and it does not leak when it's turned on or off. When I put it back into the holes it leaks slowly from the holes down into the cabinet. The leak only occurs when there is water sitting around the faucet and the gasket. I initially thought it's the gasket so I got a new one from Delta but no luck. I tried water proof silicone under the gasket and around the faucet but it did not work. Any advice?
I have 2 similar models in my house with no issues. The faucet is ~ 5 years old. The Delta model is 520-MPU-DST:

the sink could have a 'ripple' beyond the capability of the preformed gasket to seal - add plumbers putty like in the old days - tighten - squish - wipe - problem be gone

Does it leak only when you splash water around the bottom of the faucet, or just when it's turned on? If it leaks only id you splash water around the faucet, silicone will solve the issue. If it leaks just from turning it on, check the aerator. If it's loose, it can cause the faucet to leak underneath.

The issue might be with the faucet. It might have loosened up from the inside and so water passes out and leaks. Its either that it is not correctly fit in or there might be an issue in the faucet from inside.
