I put a new Delta 1700 valve on my shower and have no water coming through it even though there is good water pressure to the valve. HELP!

Are both the hot and cold water systems turned on?

Just be aware that any time valves are closed and opened that debris can be released into your system. Some debris can be large enough to get caught in the smaller openings and cause blockage. These need to be flushed thoroughly when you return the system to service.

Yes, both are turned on.

Good point about the debris. The water accidentally got turned on before the valve was installed and of course water gushed like a fire hydrant but I can take it out again to check.
