Dear Members:
I am currently working on a Glacier Bay leaking tub spout. The homeowner moved into the house 6 years ago. The tub spout has always leaked but has gotten worse recently. The cartridge in there now is not the right one. Both cold and hot have the same aftermarket cartridge and both leak. I tried replacing in kind cartridge but the leak remained. There is no model number on the plate, only the glacier bay logo. The shower head is after market as well. Any ideas on how to get the right cartridge? I called home depot and danco. Both state that since its Home Depot in house brand that it could be a multitude of companies and glacier bay has hundreds of cartridges. Any help that does not have me opening the wall would be great.

I would replace the tub spout with a Moen or other main brand companies who use better quality products. As a Home Depot stock holder, I remain disappointed that Home Depot does not sell better quality products. Too bad that some great companies continue to do CHEAP. At least with Moen or Delta, etc, they are usually better made products.

i would toss the ball into glacier bay's court.
have them send you the correct cartridge or have them send their local rep out to the house.
