Hi All,
I was using a plastic Hair snake to clean my bath tub drain and Half of it broke inside the drain.
I have a plumber coming in couple of days to fix it. Can I use my bathtub for shower meanwhile?
I removed the bath tub drain top knob and couldn’t find any piece of the hair snake.
Thanks

I suppose there's the chance that flowing water will force whatever is caught in there farther down the drain pipe.
My guess is that the water will flow by right past the plastic piece. So showering till this is fixed won't cause any additional problems. But don't quote me on that.
I would be curious to find out how this plumber goes about retrieving and removing the object.

How long is the broken off piece? 2 inches or 10 inches makes a difference.
What is the drain stopper mechanism? Is the stopper right at the tub drain or is it back at the vertical pipe tee?
May be another plastic snake or coat hanger with a bent tip?
