Kitchen sink seemed to be working fine, a mishap with some rice later and no amount of cleaning or snaking has helped. Unsure if it's because it's older but can not find the issue. Someone that helps a family member with plumbing has tried using now a 50 foot snake that should have cleared through house drain pipe, and not only did it not seem to find anything but everything else is still draining fine.

You could have the trap packed with rice...been there done that. Have you taken the trap apart?

It helps to have the drain pipe filled with water while snaking. The water washes away any gunk that the snake loosens. Without water the clog can reform once the snake is withdrawn.

Everything under the sink was disassembled and cleaned. Trying to borrow a thicker snake or purchase one on payday, and will try to use water with as another suggested. The snake itself was put right at drain under sink direct while parts were out.
