How do I tighten these handles?
Author: 120volts (CA)

I ran into three of these handles that are extremely loose. I couldn’t figure out how to tighten them. They just pull off and there seems to be a clear plastic gasket with teeth inside the handle that just press fits into it but it can’t be. There’s no way to tighten it. Any ideas?

What’s the make and model?

Moen 4551CP The screw with part # 100561 goes through the acrylic adapter and holds the handle together. The handle hub can then be threaded to the faucet body.

Oh my! Thank you SO much!!!!

I'll open and see if the screws fell. I mean, where else can it go?

Still not sure how to remove to access but I'll consult the diagram.

Cheers.

Unscrew the big chrome "boss". If you need parts call 1-800-BUY-MOEN for replacements or new handles.

Thanks, hj!

I'll be returning to the customer's next week on something and hope to work on it then.
