 What adhesive to use?
Author: 120volts (CA)

I need to glue something to shower glass tiles. I need something that’s semi permanent and won’t come off easily like typical sealant would. But I don’t want anything that’s totally permanent and will destroy the glass tiles later when removing the glue.

This is really hard to explain, but I need to glue the flat portion of a sprayer showerhead “stay” that’s normally affixed to the wall with self adhesive tape. But that tape is useless so I want to glue it in.

What type of glue shall I use?

What I need to glue is the round piece directly in the center of this:

Clear gorilla glue it is. Thanks! I think I'll use it to glue, let dry, then chaulk with regular sealant around the edges to prevent water from getting to the glue.

for clear gorilla glue you need to damp one side and clamp it for a while (2 hours minimum). On a shower you might have to take a tension bar or something to prop it against the opposite wall.

I'd use 100% silicone.

According to the tech specs on the Gorilla Glue web site,
[www.gorillatough.com]

"Water resistant – not recommended for continual water exposure"

I would also vote for 100% silicone, from 3M or DAP.
