 Kohler tub install
Author: Jbarbz (MI)

I installed my tub on a bed of mortar about 1 1/2 in thick. Now there is about a 1/2 in gap between the sub floor and apron. When I dry fitted it, it was flush. I tried to get it as low as I could when I set it but could not work it down any more. Will this be a problem? Should I just shim it? The tub sits level on all sides. Thanks in advance!

I would shim each end and put a couple of shims either side of center. glue them in place and cut them flush.
then a piece of azec 1/4 round to cover the gap.

It should have also been level when you dry fit it. If there is a ledger board, it is also not down on it either, for it to still be level.
