I was doing some copper pipe soldering last week and had some real difficulty in making the joints.
This is suppose to be a simple project since I wasn't dealing with dripping water or hard to accessible tight space or other challenging situations.
The only thing I can think of is either the brass fittings being lead free are harder to solder? Or may be the flux I have is too old?
The flux I use is Rectorseal NOKORODE Regular Paste Flux. It was bought two years ago and has been sitting in my garage in the hot Miami weather. Does it go bad after a while and loses its chemical properties?
