I was at the store checking out shower drains earlier today and I noticed that the oatey solvent weld pvc model was a grey plastic instead of the usual white. Can this be glued directly to the white pvc pipe with the regular purple primer and clear cement, or would this require a special glue like the abs pipe?
Is the grey pvc better quality or something compared to the white?

pvc is pvc. no difference except the color.

Are you sure those are for drains or irrigation?
My understanding is gray is SCH80 usually electrical applications and not pressure rated, white is SCH40.
