Tub Shoe is to low for the new tub how can I extend.
Author: samanthajt (FL)

I am installing a new tub that sits directly on the floor insulated and hard base the old drain was to high so had to cut the pipe that's not the issue because this made the tub sit an inch off the ground. There is a piece of rebar (which I do not want to cut) in the way which makes it about 1 inch to low.

I know the parts in the picture does not work together using just for example to before purchasing something else.

[drive.google.com]

If I can some how extend the tub shoe or find and angled tub shoe or use pvc pipe to angle it looking for ideas.

Thanks in advance

Sam

they make sch 40 PVC tub drains that you glue pieces together.
maybe one of these with a "Y" and street 45 substituted for the sanitary tee would do the trick

Not shown in the photo above but you can extend the vertical piece below the tee and I think that is what you may need. If the rebar is interfering with the hook up, sawzall it so you can connect to the tub. Good luck.
