I am replumbing, and will replace the shower/tub taps and the kitchen faucet. I don't need flash or fashion, but I'm tired of replacing gaskets every couple of years. This will become increasingly difficult as I get old and slow down.
Question: What faucet brand works amazingly great and lasts nearly forever? I'll pay five times as much for high-quality alternatives to Delta and Price-Pfister, if the hardware lasts five times as long without maintenance.
The replacement quarter-turn valve under the sink feeding my new dishwasher is gasketless, precision machined, and turns smooth as silk. I hope I can find faucets that work as smoothly for the sink taps, shower control, and separate tub faucet taps.

Most new faucets will work smoothly long after that dishwasher valve is frozen and will not turn.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the dishwasher and house shutoff valves are precision-machined quarter turn [NYLON BALL] valves. The house valve has worked fine for years. The slightly compliant nylon seals to the polished corrosion-proof metal inner surface more reliably than a gasket, and does this against street pressure, which is very high here, hundreds of feet below a hilltop reservoir. The ball valve shutoff is /before/ the pressure reducer.
The dishwasher valve is only a year old, but works much better than the compression-washer shutoff it replaced.
I hope to the find faucets and shower controls with the same precision machining and durable engineered materials. Perhaps I should just attach fancy knobs to quarter turn street shutoff valves and use those.

i find grohe products to be top quality.
their parts always fit together perfectly and I can't remember ever having a defect.
I can't tell you how long they go before needing something because that depends on water quality and how often they are used/abused.
I can tell you they will last longer than the products you are complaining about.
