I have an apartment property that while getting a new parking lot, the gas line was hit. The gas line is made of yellow pvc. The city is telling us the only way they will approve the repair is to use an adapter made of the yellow pvc that is no longer available. We need a 1 inch adapter that connects to yellow pvc on one end and connects to the poly on the other end. Any suggestions except replacing all the gas lines to the property would be appreciated.

Yellow gas PVC used sch. 80 fittings. The problem with it was NOT the pipe or fittings, it was the cement joining them which broke down because of the gas. Lyall, (check Mountain States Pipe and Supply), makes a transition fitting, but it may need a certified installer to use it.
