I am trying to replace the handles of an existing tub/shower combination. I am not an expert in this area by any stretch.
Hyperlink should be - [photos.app.goo.gl]
The current handle is mounted via a center screw and includes an escutcheon plate (both removed from photo). I would like to reuse the existing cartridge assembly, however change the finish and style of handle. Currently it appears the original hardware are brass finish that someone has painted over black - I wish to change all to chrome.
After handle is installed there is a portion of this cartridge assembly viewable - this is the larger cylinder nearest the wall. I am not sure if this is a removable trim sleeve or integral part of the cartridge, I need to inspect when I am home today.
Additionally is anyone able to identify the Cartridge company? I am trying to figure out what handles can mate without being a generic company? I can not find any company names and do not have access to the back of the assembly.

This is a Delta valve. If this has only 2 handles the trim kit is # RP18304. If it's 3 handle use RP18312. Your plumbing supply store should be able to show different handles available for this trim. If you use a handle with a side set screw you will need to change the plastic extension to RP18627.
