I have a Delta single handle pull-out kitchen faucet. It drips. I want to remove the handle to see if there's a piece inside that can be tightened or maybe I have to replace the cartridge. The hex set screw behind the plastic blue/red Delta badge is frozen. It won't budge. I've tried tapping with a hammer.
Any ideas on how to remove it? I don't want to strip it too much. Saturate with CLR/Lime Away?

Author: packy (MA) hair dryer won't do it. the trick is to use a torch and get it hot enough to loosen the corrosion. plan on getting a complete rebuild kit as the heat may damage some of the seals. they are completely replaceable. sponsor sells this one.

Author: 120volts (CA) PB Blaster is much better than WD-40 at unfreezing bolts.

Author: Paul48 (CT) Make sure the Allen wrench you use does not have a ball-driver on the end. It will snap off in the set screw, and the you're "up a creek". If you can reach it with the tip of a soldering gun you might do less damage.
