What Adhesive to Use for This

This soap dish came off and I would like to re-glue it. What’s the best adhesive to use on it? I may get a new soapdish as the old one has the adhesive caked on pretty thick in places and I’m not sure if it’ll come off without breaking the dish. Any chalking gun type I can use?

It will depends on the substrate behind that. You might have to remove some of the failed thinset or thicknet that has compromised with moisture penetration.

I would use polulyurethane adhesive to reattach after cleaning up and removing old loose stuff. But polyurethane adhesive smells and could be offensive indoor. Then caulk around with silicone.

Or chip off as much old stuff as possible and set with Plaster of Paris. Seal with silicone around the edges.

Thanks all for the great tips!!!
