 Help ID’ing Shower Valve
Author: 120volts (CA)

Need help in identifying the model of a shower valve. Need to replace. Also, one knob on this one is busted.

Is there a model number for the trim itself I can look for.

The handle hole/screw is offset and not in center as normal.

It is an old Delta. It uses the round ball with the diamond shaped stem. The handle has a diamond shaped opening off center. It could also use the old "long" seats, but you have to remove the old ones to find out. Some repair kits have both the old and new rubber seals and springs. If so match yours to them and use the correct ones.

Thanks. I'll to the box store and see if I can see anything that "might" fit". I was hoping for a model number so I can get the right valves before I get to the jobsite....this one's at an HOA where you have to appoint a time and you're under a time crunch..so I was wanting to bring the valves with me rather than take it out and run to store(s). frowning.

other than a couple different parts it is no different than repairing a delta 100 kitchen faucet.
see if this picture helps ?

i believe the ball is a W212SS.

@packy. Thanks! Just got back from the store and got two different types of delta repair kits. The difference is that one has a round stem for the handle, the other somewhat a squashed oval/rectangle for the stem. Both kits are as shown on your last pic. I’m pretty sure one of the kits will work.
