Author: packy (MA) if it is all alone into a masonry there is no chance it is lined to the right specs. they don't want a 3 inch gas flue venting an 8 x 8 chimney.

Author: packy (MA) superman with his ex-ray vision can tell from the outside. we mere mortals must look inside. either thru the opening the flue pipe goes into or up on the roof looking down.
