Bidet removal to install stall shower
Author: GuestUser (DE)

Hi, we bought a home with a bidet and no stall shower. Is it possible to remove the bidet and put a stall shower in its place? Is a sewer line usually attached to a bidet, or are there only hot and cold water lines? Thanks in advance.

anything is possible.
the problem is that the bidet has a 1 1/4 inch drain while the shower has a 2 inch drain.
you won't know how much work will be involved increasing the drain size until you cut open the floor.
pipe material also enters into the equation. plastic drains are much easier to work with than cast iron.
so, on a scale of one to ten (ten being hardest) the job can be anywhere from a three to a ten.
lastly, floor joists need to be factored in as well.
