Burst pipe, cold water pipe under sink
Author: IcedPipes (Canada)

Hi people. I had a pipe burst under my sink when it was -minus 30 degree weather and now my pipe looks like that. Any ideas how I can patch it up? I live nowhere near a major city with stores that have supplies to fix this. I live in a very remote house in northern canada. I live in the bush with the moose and wolves and whatever else that has teeth to eat you with, lol. I need help. Smack it closed with a hammer and duct tape it? I have no solder paste or tin or anything to solder it closed.

there is a second split right below the larger one.
yeah, you can tap it shut with a hammer and if you don't have any soldering tools then get some automotive rubber hose and some hose clamps. slit short pieces of hose and clamp them over the splits.

I really would consider re-piping your home when finances permit. Your pipes are going to continue to burst.
