What is a UPC faucet ?
Author: andrewrussel (TX)

A faucet is something that is used to start or stop the flow of water from pipe or any other water storage device. Well, a simple example of the faucet is the device in your tap that you use on the daily basis. The other day I was reading about faucets and I found out that there are a number of types of faucet like a two-handle faucet, ball faucet, single handle faucet, and mixing faucet. But one thing I read, again and again, was UPC faucet.

I know what faucet is but I want to know what UPC. Is that something related to the specification of the faucet or is it some certification or is it a type of faucet or something else? Can anybody who has got an idea about it to explain this to me? I think it would be a great help if someone can explain this.

UPC is many times referred to as Uniform Plumbing Code
