Will a 1/2” regulator put out as much btus as a 3/4” regulator. Here is an example. 500,000 total btus in structure. Regulator is 80 ft from 2 pound meter. After regulator will be 1” pipe sized to furthest appliances. My question is, how do I determine if I need a 1/2” or 3/4” regulator? I can’t seem to find a chart of output for each size.

There is no ONE answer. The capacity of the regulator is determined by the size of the orifice installed in it. You have to go by the manufacturers schedules.

Yes they should have a chart for each regulator showing the orifice sizes and the capacity for each one
