low bowl water in Toto Drake
Author: NP16 (OR)

my customer's complaint after a new install of a Toto Drake ADA elongated toilet is low water level in the bowl.

Question: from your experience approximately where should the water level be the bowl after a flush and refilling?

is this just a result of the Eco feature- the 1.28 gallon/flush?

Measure how deep the water is, then slowly pour water into the bowl until the level does not change. That is the design depth of the water, and unless it is much higher than when you started the bowl's level is proper.

well that makes sense and is an easy test. thanks hj.

I got new info today that the overflow rubber fill tube had come off. Probably why the bowl water level was lower than it should be.

You have discovered the solution. They make a small clip that attaches the tubing to the overflow tube. Be sure you use it and that it is secured to the ball cock.

turns out to be a defective Toto clip. I swapped it out with another and the flow was perfect and directed into the overflow tube. will be checking these on future installs.
