 Air in hot water
Author: cscandole (NY)

For my heat and hot water, I have a triangle tube challenger cc125 combination unit. I am getting knocking in the pipes and the unit stops working when I run the hot water. I think I have air in the lines and or unit but I am unsure of how to bleed the air. After the knocking the unit stops working and shows a flashing E on the screen indicating Error, and has to be reset. Any suggestions or advice on how to bleed the air or other ways to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IF you are running the water, it is NOT air. More likely it is steam because the flow is too slow for the amount of heat in the unit. You probably have to descale the unit.

Hello,
what code are you getting? I might have the same problem as you....does it happen all the time or once a day?
