How to Cap Jacuzzi Tub Handles
Author: 120volts (CA)

I have a jacuzzi tub that will not be used by the owners in the future but there seems to be a missing top plate or cover for the handles?? Shower works fine and that's all they want. They just want it capped so water won't seep in and make it look nicer. Any ideas what I can use on specifically?

I would suggest 3" x 12", mounted using silicone adhesive.

the 'protruding handles' are simply a screw and 'something' broken held by a screw

ask the customer what THEY want

a 'pro' finish OR a rube golberg abortion

What would you consider a "pro solution", because anything that just covers the openings WILL be "Rube Goldberg" solution.

A 'cut to size' aluminum plate 'siliconed' into place with choice of surface finish (polished or matte).

This plate is made from .125" thick, high quality aluminum.

It will create a smooth transition with a neat and tidy impression for all your home, office and commercial needs.

Thanks on all the suggestions!

Can I remove the handle screws without having to worry about the valves kicking on? I'm just worried if I unscrew them I won't be in a point of no return and not be able to shut things off.

... not sure ...

? are there angle stops to isolate the valve ?

? is the shower separate or is there a diverter ?

IMO: Either,

replace the actual valve trim

or

close the angle stops before 'blanking off'

or

'walk away' from this nightmare job

or

do whatever the customer wants (in writing).

BEST OF LUCK
