"COLUMBIA GAS NEEDS MASS PLUMBERS & GAS FITTERS TO HELP IN LAWRENCE, ANDOVER AND NORTH ANDOVER

Columbia Gas is in desperate need of Massachusetts plumbers and gas fitters willing to work at assessing the damage in all of the buildings associated with this tragedy. So far, there have only been about 175 licensees who have signed up to work on the restoration project. They need upwards of 400 people. Before looking at the possibility of bringing in out-of-state people, they have asked PHCC of MA to send out another request.

Working directly for Columbia Gas, you will be asked to enter properties, survey the gas piping system and related appliances and document your findings. It is our understanding that documentation will then be submitted to Columbia Gas representatives before the actual restoration work begins. At present time they are only looking for qualified individuals to assess the damage and continue on to do the repairs once permits have been secured. They are looking for individuals to work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week if possible through the end of October.

12 hour shifts and 7 days a week is a bit excessive.
Sunday should be a day of rest to recharge.
