 Ventilation for Sewage Ejector
Author: jeremy6536 (VA)

I'm a DIY and need help on my first time sewage ejector. I have an unfinished basement I am currently finishing. I have a full bath: shower unit, toilet and sink that will empty into my sewage ejector. My complication comes on how to properly vent the ejector. I am unable to attach to a current vent on the house due to the basement only allowing me to access below the first floor traps. I understand that most ejectors need to be vented above the roof, however I am not interested in an ugly white pipe going up the side of my house. Is it possible to vent to the outside without extending high above the house. Will I smell sewage it if it is only 2' above ground level ? or would that even met code? Next out of the box question. My house was built three years ago and I have a radon vent that is easily accessible and vents through the roof. Can I attach my sewage ejector to that vent? I figured If my ejector became compromised I would smell the sewage and be able to fix thus never having to worry about the radon. Code approved or radon hast to be dedicated ?

Thanks in advance.

the tank vent will smell awful...
you can tie it into your basement bath 2 inch vent.
so to be clear...
you can not stick it outside 2 feet above ground.
you can not tie it into the radon vent.
you can tie it into the basement 2 inch vent.

so, arrange your fixtures so the sink is closest to the tank.
your vent will run up behind the sink so all you need do is put a tee into that vent up near the ceiling.

Do you have a 2" vent for the basement bathroom or were you going AAV it?

The vent is NOT for "ventilation". It is to equalize pressures, which an AAV CANNOT do.
