 Saniflo pump and wall-hung toilet
Author: lxgw (MA)

Hi, everyone,

we are working on our basement bathroom addition. Since the sewage line is above the basment ground, we end up with Saniflo pump. Since we are going to use wall-hung back-outlet toilet from another manufacturer, I am wondering if anyone has experience that if they are going to work well with each other? Do I need the extension pipe from saniflo to get them connected?

More specifically, it would be Saniplus pump and Toto aquia wall-hung toilet+in wall tank sys.

Thank you so much!

i would think you'd have to use the saniflo toilet?

i recommend opening up the floor and doing it the old fashion way...add a sanitary crock and pump it up to your septic hang....i would not use that saniflo on my jobs....never even seen one around here

you need a saniflo toilet to mate up with their tank. the extension allows to to install the tank on the other side of a wall.

"WE ARE WORKING " Who are WE? In your the state of "MA" I truly hope the "WE" includes a licensed plumber and permits. Besides being guilty of "prototyping" a design that may or may not work, you could be subject to fines with penalities for performing your own plumbing.

Do it right the 1st time and have peace of mind. Good Luck!
Best Wishes

Thank you for your concern!

I got different answers from different plumbers--yes, luckily they are all 'licensed'. That's the only reason I come to ask for someone with more experiences.

Wondering if you have something else to say on this specific topic or not, besides the warning?

Saniflo customer service says as long as it has back-outlet, it would work. Not sure if this could be called as 'prototyping' a design.

BTW, I could not agree more with your opinion on doing it right at first time. Thank you!

I say go for it. I've installed a saniflo toilet before and they work great. Also, they make an extension pipe available through saniflo that lets you hide the tank directly behind the wall. They only require a 3/4" drain and work great.
