The two materials are the same size. You need a "green colored" ABS to PVC transition cement. You use regular primer and the glue/cement on the PVC, and just the glue/cement on the ABS.

As usual I think your question was answered well regarding size and PVC-ABS glue being available.

I do wish to add, for other visitors that are also reading this and possibly making some assumptions, it isn't always code everywhere to "glue" dissimilar plastics such as PVC and ABS together as well as we are talking about low pressure connections.
The transition glue ought to work for low pressure DWV however if you are doing this to code and having it inspected you ought to check with your local code enforcement folks before using it as it may not be legal to use in your area.
When using a transition cement to join radically dissimilar plastics together know that these two plastics (ABS= acrylonitrile butadiene styrene vs PVC= polyvinyl chloride) are totally different in composition and will not "solvent weld" together.
Yes, they will "glue" together however unlike "solvent welding" similar plastics together (PVC to PVC or ABS to ABS for example) the dissimilar connection (ABS to PVC) will not be as strong as actually chemically welding and that's why some codes won't allow it.
If in your area's plumbing code you are not allowed to use any glue to join dissimilar plastics then possibly using a male to female fitting or a no-hub coupling might be legal instead.

Our gas utility has/had many miles of ABS gas line, but converted to PVC later. When I saw a gas fitter using green transition glue to connect a high pressure (50 psi or so) ABS gas pipe to a PVC one, I questioned him about the advisablity of doing so, and he said they did it all the time without any failure issues. So it may not just be a "low pressure" solution, regardless of code approvals.

The Menards in Menomonee Falls has been selling ABS pipe for more than a few years. Haven't really noticed it anywhere else, but I assumed the code had been changed to allow it.

California the common drain waste vent material IS ABS and I'm aware that in other parts of the country PVC is common.
