Well..I can tell what it is at that point. Customer says its about 10 years old.

What i would do is take off the trim plate and take a picture or see any markens inside..

Looks like the cartridge used in kohler and grohe,not sure but would bet afew others as well ?

The same but different though. I tried to mix once but they make them a touch different so you can't interchange.

All them rich Cape Cod home owner buy these and have use install them. Then we have to repair them when they have troubles.
Keeps the kids fed though so I am not complaining.

I call the Newport brass company and they send parts out free of charge. I do think Webb can get them also. We have used SNES too.

How does it operate? turn for hot/cold, and push/pull for on/off? Rotate for temperature at constant full volume?

Water mark,artistic brass?I have seen this valve the divertor function failed on two of many.I will post if I remember exactly.Newport brass!!!1-595???

That tells very little about what the valve body and stem look like. WHich is the important thing because the handle and trim could be third party mounted to a common body.

Ended up being newportbrass/brasstech...good job shoe!
Got the cartridge at watertown supply but had to order extension from the manufacturer,they sent it out free of charge
