I installed about 6 months ago a pegasus brand Kitchen faucet. It appeared to be a good product.Purchased at home depot. Now the pulldown sprayer will not stay put when retracted, it just falls to the sink drain. It looks like maybe it uses a rubber gasket/o-ring to keep it held in place (not sure how that is designed to work?). If it is a seal why is already worn to that stage & why can't i find any Pagasus online support or parts? What should I do? I don't want to take it out & return it if it just need a simple part.

most come with a lead weight that you attach to the hose just a bit higher than the low point , to assist in holding it down like a counter balance . It is more likely too worn out to repair, time to replace it

More than likely it is a problem with the lead weight that attaches on the hose under the sink to pull down on the hose.
If there is a problem involving parts being needed contact Home Depot. It is one of their house brands. Pegasus is not a favorite brand among us plumbers.

6 months. You got your moneys worth. Now it's time to install a Quality faucet. Delta and Moen are reliable faucets that come recommended here. Pegasus has a long history [www.plbg.com]:

as the others have stated it most likely has to do with the weight under the sink attached to the hose.
you can not find online help because they are produce so cheaply for big orange that they can not afford tech support or a warranty. home depot is the only place to find parts and you will be lucky if they even have the cartridge for it. i tried replacing one in a tub/shower once but the one home depot carried didnt fit. they can not even get the proper repair parts for their own products. go figure!

i'm gonna play devil's advocate and say a few good things about pegasus faucets..
ahem, (clears throat).. let's see.
1).. they are cheap
2).. you don't have to travel very far to buy one
3).. they come wrapped with plastic strapping around the box.
4).. free parking outside the showroom.
5).. when placed in the landfill, they disintegrate quickly.
6).. by buying one, you keep thousands of men, women and children employed in Hong Kong.

The last time installed Pegasus it was a lav faucet...it sprayed 5 degrees sideways....
You may have learned a lesson. $25 savings didnt really save did it.... If you would have had a plumber install HIS faucet you could have had it fixed for free right now.

You've heard all the bad stuff about Pegasus, and had some advice about the possible cause of the problem. One more thing you can do is call Pegasus. They do have a lifetime warranty, and the service center number is printed right on the box. They are usually helpful on the phone.

Pegasus and Danze are made by the same company if I recall correctly from jimmy-o.
I've been telling customers to go ahead after a month to call the product line and tell them the faucet is having numerous problems, send parts.
That way years later when it truly does leak, the parts are in your home, not discontinued like we know is coming in a short time.
