My hot water heater keeps discharging after i replaced the t&p valve. I believe the indirect oil hot water heater needs to be replaced. Do i actually need a hot water heater? I believe i can pipe hot water to come directly from my boiler. It's just my wife and i, so our hot water demands aren't very high. This would help because i don't have the funds to replace the hot water heater at the moment, but i can afford the pipe.

Either the waters too hot or the pressures too high, that's what's causing the relief valve to open. Are you on city water ? Possibly the reducing valve has failed, or an expansion tank has gone bad. Or as you suggest you can use the boiler for all of your domestic water hot water.

The water coming from the discharge valve was running at 171 degrees, way too hot. I think the coil is shot on the hot water heater itself and it keeps asking for water that's too hot. I don't have anything to set the exact temp i want, just a range on the hot water heater, which is up to 125 i believe. I'm 99% sure I'm juat going to pipe directly from the boiler. Unless i can find some warranty or recall.

can you post a couple pictures of your set-up.
you should not have an indirect tied into your tankless.
most indirect heaters ,like superstor, have a lifetime warrantee..
if there is a pinhole in the coil, the higher pressure of the domestic water will seep thru into the boiler water and raise that pressure above the 30lb pound boiler relief setting.
