Toilet running sound in walls(but not toilet)

It's pretty simple. its not the toilet at all but it sounds like when you flush the toilet and you can hear the water in the wall after you flush and it does it every 30 secs and the toilet flushing sound lasts for 30 secs, then its completely quiet for 30 secs. it has been doing this every minute like clockwork for the past 2 hours. it not the toilet though. i even turned off the water to the toilet. its driving me crazy

Author: stuckinlodi (MO) Maybe a water softener, or lawn sprinkler system? Or a water heater that is leaking badly and trying to refill. You should be able to logically turn off all water devices and fixtures to determine what is causing the rushing water sound. Edited 2 times.
