We have a client with a pool, where we've installed a secondary pump system for emergency use, but the pumps are very susceptible to air, and will shut down automatically if too much accumulates.
We've checked into Hayward, Pentair, Caleffi, and several others, the only Chlorine compatible Auto vent is from irrigation specialists. There are two different models made of plastic.
Anyone know of any other Chlorine compatible Auto Air Separator?
Thanks!

Put a shout out for "hot rod" at heatinghelp.com. He works for Caleffi, and can provide more answers or alternatives for you, beyond what their tech support may offer.

I don't understand why not either. The chlorinated water would not be at the sealing surface, but chlorine gas would. Hot Rod is a bit of a "mad scientist", and does the stuff hands on. If anyone can give him an answer, he can. He does training for Caleffi, all over the country.

Thanks for the response, I'll give him a try...
We take longevity into the equation, and brass or copper could fail with the Chlorinated water and/or gases over time.
Also, The pumps and filters are located in the basement of the 'poolhouse', which is a custom finished, full size home to many of us. If anything fails in the basement, a leak could cause the entire pool to unload into the basement!
We use a titanium heat exchanger for the solar thermal pool heating system for example.
And most of the pool side piping and fittings are sched 80 CPVC, because it has higher temp ratings than PVC.
