I keep having to replace the valves in my shower/tubs. I've done both bathrooms twice already and they are both leaking again. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the pressure. When I run my HE front load washer my pipes clang when the water goes off and on as the washer is filling up or rinsing. And my pipes are pvc that run through the attic. Previous owners had some issue that caused them to abandon the galvanized pipes that run through the slab and replumb via the attic space. Anyway, it's just the shower/tub faucets that leak. I fix the one in the master bath and then the one in the hall bath starts leaking. And hot water at that. Why is it hot water that's leaking? Also, could this leak have any negative effects on my hot water tank? I recently had to have a new one installed. The previous one only lasted 6 years and I had to have elements replaced on it 4 times in that short 6 year life. Are any of these things connected? Help.

Not likely that any of this is related. The frequent element replacement is usually caused by using poor,(cheap), elements and/or extremely bad water. What brand is the shower valve?

Have you checked your water pressure? It isn't difficult, you can get a water pressure gauge that screws onto your outside water faucet/hose bibb and see what it is. For best measurement check the water pressure, then turn on a faucet inside the house like the kitchen sink or shower and test the pressure again.
Each time you had the water heater elements replaced are you sure the old ones were bad, as in broken and not heating? What condition were they in when removed, such as covered with limescale from hard water in your area?
