Hi guys,
Just a quick question. Due to routing issues, the horizontal drain on the 2nd floor tub is going to need to "drop" into the vertical waste line instead of going straight in. It seems like it would form a sort of S-trap. If this is the case, would it cause drain problems, and would it fail an inspection?

the drawing is the same isn't it ???
from your description, yes it would fail inspection.
it will need its own individual vent.
how you do this depends on where the problem is, how far from the trap and how high or low the vent connection winds up at. ???
one solution would be enlarge the tub drain to 2 inch and tie the sink drain into it. wet vent the tub thru the sink drain.

Yeah it was the same drawing i just wanted to add it for reference.
It's easy enough to add the vent. I just wanted to confirm with the experts that there was an issue. Maybe I'll get the hang of this plumbing thing after all
