So how much is the actual final charge? It they are taking $59 off from their normal $2000 charge for a drain cleaning that's not so good, even with a free camera inspection. Find out what the bottom line charge you have to pay is going to be.

IF the camera inspection is free, why are the saying it MUST be done, since there should be no reluctance to do it if it is REALLY "free".

They probably want to be able to show the customer the camera video and point out any little cracks, roots or other potential problems so they can sell them on some big-dollar optional work. That's why those muffler shops offer free inspections on your vehicle, so they can discover all kinds of stuff to talk you into letting them repair.
These guys aren't doing these inspections out of kindness or community service - it's a sales gimmick.

I heard about a case where they were playing back videos of a different sewer line to show the customers how bad "their" line is and how badly it needs replacement.

he will clean the pipe but will not guarantee his work unless the camera inspection is done.
