 Zurn FLushometer Question
Author: Zink101us (WA)

I have a zurn flushometer that needs to the cap removed to replace the diaprham but it may be seized up. I've shut supply off and released what air I could but cap not budging. Any help ? Worst case I can take the whole thing apart and put in a vise to break loose. Thanks

You could try heating the circumference of the cap with a torch, lightly. Don't over-do it. Once it does come off, smear silicone grease into the cap threads for yourself or the next guy next time.

Is there a chance the valve body is warp'd from temperatures or the top was over-tightened.

A chrome Sloan Super Wrench and a strap wrench together works better. Make sure the service line is properly secured too.

Best Wishes
