I have soldered a cast brass 1.5" trap adapter onto 1.5" copper drain pipe.
Is there any difference in the outside diameter of a chrome p-trap outlet pipe vs a PVC tubular outlet pipe? I assume either one will fit the same size brass trap adapter?

1 1/2" tubing has a 1 1/2" o.d. 1 1/4" is 1 1/4" o.d.
Now we know why the "Big Dig" took so long, cost so much, and started collapsing. It was their attempt at "Yankee humor". and could not figure out the different sizes.

come on hj.. the big dig was only 666% over budget.
2.5 billion dollars estimate vs 16+ billion figure... before interest. it will be paid for around 2033.

Is that about the time when it will have used its useful life and have to be replaced? Like a sports arena.
