 bubble sound in toilet
Author: Bette (NY)

When my tenant flushes the toilet upstairs I hear a 'bubble' sound in my toilet. I just had a new toilet installed which uses less water

new toilet or old toilet should make no difference.
it sounds as if there is a partial clog somewhere.
don't want to accuse anyone but could something have fallen into the drain during installation of the new toilet ??

I actually think my tenant may have caused the partial clog...so my next question is should I have the sewer pipe snaked from my toilet to the main line? Thank you.

if there is a cleanout in the basement, i would open it and snake from there.
it all really depends on how the pipes are connected.
