Flush lever not open long enough for water to drain out bowl
Author: Pritchett (TX)

I have been replacing various parts in a Case 3000 toilet and all is well except when I trip the flush lever that raises the lift wire and seal ball the seal ball drops too quickly and the water in bowl does not have time to run in correctly
What regulates the time the seal ball stays up

Check the ball to see if the rubber is deteriorated.

Height of water before flush to top of overflow level and proper cut off
The height of water when seal ball drops is about inch down after lift wire activated

Do you have an assortment of different length lift rods?

Yes have used all four and have not noticed any difference although the one current seems to drop down best without going down at funny angle

If you hold the flush handle for an extra second, does it flush correctly?

Sometimes the water volume thru the fill valve is so great that it can affect the action of the ball. If it is too much, try throttling the supply valve to a lesser volume.

How high up does the ball rise when you flush? Is there an adjustable rod guide?
