 Kitchen sink thumps !
Author: Mttkey (TN)

My kitchen sink has started to thump loudly when the water is turned on too fast or when hot and cold is turned on together. If the flow is turned down it improves. If it is turned up or left alone the water just cuts off completely. After a few minutes you here a small click and the water works again. This has been going on for a few months but is getting worse. the kitchen sink is old, has a garbage disposal and dishwasher connected to it. Will be selling house soon and must get this fixed. Any advice?

I'm guessing there is a spray hose with the faucet and the diverter valve inside the faucet is bad and needing replacement.

Yes, the diverter is most likely the culprit.
