 Taco sweat checks
Author: tundra27 (NH)

I have been having a problem on one house in particular. We put this heating system in 10 years ago no problem. a bit of mix of baseboard heat and couple of zones of radiant as well as an 80 gallon indirect. Well the couple decided to winterize the system but maintain the system at 52 degrees while they wintered in Florida. Using Cryo-tech -100 Hercules. we winterized it and ever since have been having a thermosiphoning issue on a zone here or there. Solved the first issue by putting a check on the return as well. But yet again another zone seems to be acting up and this is a radiant heat zone. After 10 years with no problems is it safe to say maybe the anti-fraaze is causing this or is it just a fluke and swet-check failure??? anyone else experience this. Thanks for any response. Frustrating
