Non-stop water (hissing) noise behind washing machine at apt.
Author: Alltexan (TX)

My apt has a washer and since our first freeze has been making a hissing water noise. It comes from behind the washing machine. I've checked with neighbors and t they don't hear it on the other side of my wall. I just off the faucet valves behind the washing machine. That did not stop the noise any idea what it could be or how to stop it? I'm on the 3rd floor without anyone above me. The apt office doesn't seem to care since they see now leak. I've lived here over a year. This is new.

A 24/7 water leak on the third floor is bound to show up somewhere. Are you sure it's water? Could it be something else?

"bound to show up somewhere" ...wife had one of those in an elderly apt building in Philadephia..it showed up when the ceiling above her bedroom literally began caving in.
